Klassic Krenit

This beautiful vintage original Krenit 10" enamel salad bowl has just arrived in stock. The marriage of design and function brought immediate popularity to this series and made it one of the classic modernist designs of the 50s. The Designer Herbert Krenchel says: "In 1953 the idea was to make a beautiful bowl, preferably so functional and delicate that it was equally suited for use in the kitchen, on the dining table and as a decoration in the sitting room. As a material researcher I really concentrated on getting the different materials to match and look good together, as well as making them equally compatible to use together." This iconic design won a gold medal at La Trienale in Milan and is displayed in museums all over the world. Quite simply, a Mid Century Modern Icon.
