OFF MY TROLLEY

Anyone who has an interest in interior design will have noticed the rise and rise of Industrial items being used in room sets. One key piece is often enough to give the look without going overboard, and can be a great conversation piece in a contemporary interior. Industrial factory trollies are 'hot' at the moment in UK and USA, used as a low coffee table they give instant impact and grounding - and are really useable. This beautiful example has just arrived in stock from Europe. A strong wooden planked top with cast iron frame that houses glides on one end and wheels on the other. It has the original forged plaque Breton Freres, Lille Nord-France. A cracking example that you just don't see this side of the pond. ROCK STAR

One of the most comfortable and well made rocking chairs from the mid century, this Ercol rocker has just arrived in stock. Fantastic vintage condition with original covers in a mustard coloured striped tweed. The solid elm and beech construction of this chair is so sculptural and organic that some people prefer it without the cushions - and it is supremely comfortable either way. A design classic that would add a nice accent to any retro inspired interior. To reserve this item or to get more details please contact geoff@kirkmodern.com

JUST MY TYPE

Just arrived in stock is this small desktop type galley cabinet. A beautiful vintage (c.1930) boxwood cabinet with golden patina and cute bakelite button knobs. With 8 slick sliding drawers and measuring in at just 32x32x20cms this cute storage unit would fit easily on a shelf or desktop. POA geoff@kirkmodern.com

WELCOME HOLM

It's always great to find a nice BIg piece of Cathrineholm - it's such a simple, bright, cheery design it lights up any mid century display. Good pieces are hard to come by, and in Ireland they are almost impossible to source, so imagine our surprise when we stumbled on this giant 11" orange Cathrineholm cooking pot in a cracking bright orange - what a find. This piece, along with loads of other recent discoveries will be heading to the Dublin Brocante this Sunday 19th August - don't miss it.
