HOMEWORK
Sometimes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This vintage 2 seater sofa was in a sorry state when it arrived. It was being used as a garden seat and was sun bleached and watermarked. Look beyond the damage and you will see a Scandinavian gem, albeit in a rough state, solid teak frame with beautifully turned and tapered legs. Restoration is underway, the wood is being brought back to life and next stage is to choose fabric and we have decided on using this original fabric designed by legendary Danish designer Nanna Ditzel in 1965. Always exciting to see the transformation as an original piece being brought back to life and I will post updates as the project progresses.

It never ceases to dismay me that people will put pieces like this outdoors.
ReplyDeleteWell done it looks fantastic now it has been restored. Do you have any images of how bad it was.
