People are constantly surprised by the age of Stig Lindberg ceramics. There is a vibrancy and colour to the design and decoration of the items that was not evident in a lot of 1940s and 50s ceramics. I have featured the graphic pieces before, but they are getting harder to find and collectors are moving toward other pieces designed in the 1950s and 1960s - like the Karneval range. Heavily influenced by his time in Italy, these hand painted illustrated pieces are playful and quirky and really brighten up any mid century interior.
