DROP LEAF GORGEOUS

Founded in 1920 by Lucian Ercolani, Ercol is renowned for its innovative techniques using quality solid beech and elm woods, and the art of steam-bending wood into graceful curves. More expensive than some of its mass-market competitors, who used veneers rather than solid timber, Ercol's designs are regarded as some of the best post-war furniture.
We have a selection of Ercol items in stock at the moment including coffee tables, the much sought after 'pebble' nest of tables, and this beautiful and practical drop leaf dining table in solid elm with dark finish.
Call or email for an amazing price on this design classic. Info@kirkmodern.com

SHAGTASTIC!

Good vintage rugs are hard to find as they tended to be used and abused. The pinnacle for mid century design enthusiasts is the Rya shag pile rugs from the 1960s and 1970s. Rya Scandinavian long pile wool rugs (the word Rya means rug in English) were extremely well made and hard wearing, but the thing that set them apart was their ability to mirror the psychedelic pop art designs of the period and consequently they were often displayed as wall hangings as well as floor covering. I have recently acquired two fantastic examples in shagtastic condition. Designed by Robert Dodd for Quayle & Tranter in the 60s, both rugs (one slightly larger) feature same design; bright orange sunburst with radiating rays merging with the deep blue graphic background. This is rare opportunity to get a pair of original rugs in excellent condition. Please email me as usual for details and price. info@kirkmodern.com
