This huge globe is one of the very earliest examples of an illuminated globe produced by George Philip & Sons of Fleet Street. The large 19" paper composite Shipping Globe stands on a cast iron base. Made in the 1930s this GEORAMA would have been a key piece in a Gentleman's Library, giving the principle railway, shipping and air routes. A stunning piece, and a very rare find in Ireland.
